The Scribes

A group of ancient mages with an intense ambition -- to preserve everything, forever. They partially succeeded, creating a living archive known as Vido at the cost of a blackout that wiped out most knowledge of anything that happened far in the past. Magical technology and constructs from the scribes' time is still being figured out even as the first Vido make their way across the stars.
