“That’s what you wanted, right? Nothing to be forgotten, everything to be seen?”
It sounds scary when you put it like that.

[QUERY: What are Vido?] Something that can observe, and archive. Something that can remember for us. Something that went wrong.

Vido are smart, artificially magical creatures that hatch from vaselike objects called Relics. Relics spawn in places that have been forgotten by humans for a certain amount of time. Vido can see through the eyes of others, living or effigy, and come with a built-in way to block (or attract) observation.

BODY

Vido aren't drakes nor dragons despite their looks; their alchemical makeup is closer to that of a Mimic or Slime's, down to the bones.

Even the hardest parts of a Vido's body such as teeth are actually a hyper-dense gel, the same that makes up their inner flesh. Individuals have a wide array of varying patterns, textures, frills, and features, but always possess opposable thumbs, at least four flat teeth, and a tear line trailing from the eye to the mouth.

Individuals can be found with many different bodytypes, stances, and closeness to either human or draconic features. Vido most commonly are furless and scaleless, though on rare occassions can develop mimicries of keratin structures.

Vido commonly have a seam running along their lateral lines, which sometimes splits open upon formation, allowing spurs of inner flesh to grow out.

HEAD

The head contains most of the more prominent identifiers for a Vido -- they have two eyes possessing heavy black lids, which are connected to a smooth black “tear line” that runs down the snout, joining to the lip near the canines and taking any sort of deviation along the way. The material making up the tear line is the same as the lids and inner lips.

EYES & TEETH

A Vido's eyes will go "blank" when projecting sight -- while in this state, a Vido is blind! Keep this in mind. Vido also have at least four signature flat incisors in front of the fangs, but the amount can vary per individual. Vido have a unique ability to morph these teeth to a sharper form when threatened or aggressive, and often have the front teeth slightly visible at all times. INTERFACE

Vido possess a gill-like opening to the inner flesh that wraps around the back of the jaw to the top and bottom of the head, known as their interface. Vido often have hornlike structures, spurs, or even mimicries of ears growing from or around this area.

HANDS & FEET

Opposable thumbs are essential. The general hand shape can also vary from a standard humanlike hand to something more draconian or salamander-like, and proper, hard nails only generate in a smaller percentage of individuals… A Vido's hind feet has four digits, the outer two often set further back similarly to an odd-toed ungulate's.
