Humans

Humans are a sapient, bipedal species that grew to be one of the most frequently encountered colonies on Ichus during the Blackout. Humans by default survive off of organic material, but a large percentage have magical components and can even be Mages.

Humans sometimes are born with colorful patterns or unusual traits such as hooves, tails, or ravenlike heads -- it is theorized these mutations come from ancient pacts with elementals made before the blackout, though others claim it's a byproduct of Fluxes.

Humans can be modified by magic whether it be intentional or via a curse -- though due to this malleability great care must be taken to avoid becoming unstable or creating magical openings for spirits or other entities to get through; possession becomes easier the further a human dabbles.
