Mage

Mages are classified as any sapient being that contains traces of both organic and magical blood, with a high enough percentage of the latter to make use of magic. Mages have the ability to tap into Ichus and to slightly manipulate the world through it, though at the cost of energy and perhaps a bit of sanity. Magic use attracts all sorts of unintended visitors and side effects, after all.

Mages require both organic and magical energy, and ones living in magic-scrubbed zones may suffer, finding themselves craving any sources they can get. Occassionally a mage may call themself wizard, though this is not to be confused with True Wizards, which are an anomaly on their own, and practically mythical.
