Feathers are infamously difficult for a Vido to form -- many that succeed often shed them within the first week of growing to their full size, never to regrow again. Vido that manage to keep their feathers will still shed them, though they will evaporate once shed. Vido feathers often generate without any seperation between the small plumes, instead flat, soft discs that only superficially resemble feathers. Vido feathers often do not have proper quills, quite flexible and soft rather than stiff.
