Feathers are infamously difficult for a Vido to form -- many that succeed often shed them within the first week of growing to their full size, never to regrow again. Vido that manage to keep their feathers may still shed them, though they will evaporate once shed. Vido feathers often generate without any seperation between the small plumes, instead flat, soft discs that only superficially resemble feathers. Vido feathers often do not have proper quills, quite flexible and soft rather than stiff.

The quality of feather mimicry can vary from Vido to Vido; some may have flat, merged shapes with no barbs, while others may successfully generate a hollow rachis with preenable interlocking barbs.

Feathers can interact with the Large Diversion trait to create strange wings.

Long Filaments may be used on Vido that have Feathers without use of the trait.
